Lima Corporate recently announced it has come to agreements with Zimmer and Biomet to purchase joint replacement offerings in certain European markets.
Under the terms of the licensing agreement, Lima will purchase the Zimmer Unicompartmental High Flex Knee and the Biomet Discovery Elbow System within the European Economic Area and Switzerland markets. In the markets of Sweden and Denmark, Lima will also acquire the ability to manufacture, market and sell the Biomet Vanguard Complete Knee System, according to a company press release.
Lima’s soon-to-be launched Physica total knee arthroplasty system will also reportedly be expanded, according to the release. The transaction, which has been approved by the European Commission, will go into effect following the completion of the merger between Zimmer and Biomet.
