ORCHID ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, JERRY JURKIEWICZ
Holt, MI – Orchid Orthopedic Solutions (Orchid) has named Jerry Jurkiewicz President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective April 4, 2016. As President and COO, a new role for Orchid, Jurkiewicz will report directly to Mike Miller, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and have responsibility for managing Orchid’s global operations and directing the executive team.
Jurkiewicz has a long and diverse history in manufacturing through a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, Jurkiewicz served as President at IDEX Corporation.
“Jerry’s background and positive outlook make him an ideal candidate to take on the position of President and COO of Orchid. He will provide strong leadership and will assist Orchid in reaching its goals of industry excellence in all areas of operations and services,” said Miller.
Orchid’s expanding presence in the market and customer demands have created the need for additional bench strength on the executive team. The addition of Jurkiewicz will allow Miller to focus on other initiatives, including business development, acquisitions, and customer relations.

Jurkiewicz will be based at Orchid’s corporate office in Holt, Michigan.
Jerry Jurkiewicz has an extensive and accomplished career in leading manufacturing organizations in the areas of quality, operational excellence, and value creation. Most recently, he served as President of Optics & Photonics at IDEX Corporation, a diversified $2 billion manufacturing company with over 6,800 employees.
