Spineology Introduces New Advance in Pedicular Fixation
MINNEAPOLIS & ST. PAUL, Minn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Spineology Inc., the innovator in anatomy-conserving surgery™, is excited to announce the full US market release of its Palisade™ Pedicular Fixation System.
The Palisade Pedicular Fixation System is designed to minimize surgical invasiveness and enhance efficiency. The integrated break-off screw extensions and quick start screw design minimize procedural steps and limit tissue disruption during screw insertion and rod placement.
“Palisade is the most recent addition to Spineology’s product platform,” said John Booth, CEO of Spineology. “The implant and instrumentation help preserve patient anatomy and limit operating room time, which follows Spineology’s anatomy-conserving design philosophy. The system is a great addition to our product line.”
Drs. Peter Liechty and Deepak Awasthi, of Thibodaux, Louisiana were the first surgeons to treat patients using the Palisade system. “The Palisade system is a pleasure to work with. I am able to employ sub-centimeter incisions using this highly capable system. It is very intuitive and improves upon the weaknesses of its competitors,” said Dr. Liechty.
Dr. Harry Lockstadt of Lexington, Kentucky adds, “In a time when pay-for-performance counts, Palisade gives the physician the tools necessary to improve that performance. This takes spine surgery from minimally invasive surgery to the next level. It is a superior minimally invasive fixation system.”
Spineology will be showcasing Palisade for the first time at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) Meeting taking place April 30-May 4 in Chicago (Booth #5000).
