Addition of West Coast sales and clinical support role sets leading spine manufacturer up for growth
November 1, 2019- Noblesville, IN- Nexxt Spine LLC, a pioneer in the designing and manufacturing of innovative spinal solutions, is excited to announce the build out of the west coast sales division with the addition of spine veterans Mariah Woods and Aaron Jennings. Nexxt Spine is also proud to welcome Jaime Jacobs in the role of Clinical Specialist. Jaime will be traveling the country to educate distributor partners and surgeons on Nexxt Spine’s breadth of products as well the company’s NEXXT MATRIXX® technology.
“The expansion of the Nexxt Spine team with these key hires comes in response to industry demand for our portfolio of products,” says President Andy Elsbury. “A west coast presence with a strong sales force will allow us to better serve our current distribution network as well as bring on more business. Jaime Jacobs will be vital in educating distributors on the science and difference of our 3D printed porous titanium implants.”
Mariah Woods, PhD- VP Sales West; Mariah is a successful medical device sales and business development executive with over 18 years of leadership experience within the spine and biotechnology industries. During her extensive tenure in these fields, she was recognized as the top performer in distribution for Therics and Theken Spine. After 7 years in distribution, Mariah was recruited by an innovative biotech start-up Axial Biotech as their Clinical Sales Manager. Next, Mariah joined the silicon nitride pioneer Amedica, a spinal hardware company known for its introduction of a ceramic-based bioactive implant. She spent 4.5 successful years with Amedica where she was recognized as the top performing Regional Manager 4 years in a row, taking her region from $0 to over $8.5M. Mariah spent the following 4 years with a biotechnology company Burst Biologics where she helped develop and expand their biologics portfolio. She was successful in her time at Burst and decided to take her expertise and knowledge back in to the spinal hardware space with Camber Spine, which she spent 2 years growing the west coast. Mariah is eager to see Nexxt Spine expand in sales growth, portfolio offerings, and as a front runner in the titanium interbody market.

Aaron Jennings, MBA- Regional Manager Mountain Region; Aaron brings 13 years of spine experience to the Nexxt Spine team. He has worked in all aspects of spine hardware and biologics. His career began as a sales associate with Globus Medical. After 3 successful years with Globus Medical, Aaron ran an award-winning distributorship selling spine hardware and biologics. Aaron then worked in a management role spending 3 years with Burst Biologics as the RSM in Southern California. Aaron is looking forward to introducing his network to Nexxt Spine.
Regional Manager Mountain Region
Jaime Jacobs- Clinical Specialist; Jaime graduated in May 2019 with an Environmental Engineering degree from the University of Vermont. During her undergraduate studies, she worked in the Engineered Biomaterials Research Laboratory for two and a half years. Jaime co-authored a paper which focused on the creation of a polymer scaffold that would grow cartilage for the replacement of the meniscus. An abstract of this project was submitted to The World Biomaterials Congress. Jaime is also a graduate from Medical Sales College with a focus in Spine, Orthopedic Reconstruction and Trauma. She is looking forward to being a technical resource for surgeons and distributors and teaching them the science behind Nexxt Spine’s cutting-edge technologies.
