nView s1 reaches its 100th surgery
Salt Lake City, UT – September 13, 2022 /OrthoSpineNews/- The nView s1, nView medical’s breakthrough imaging system, has just surpassed its landmark 100th clinical case with the help of 22 surgeons at six leading pediatric facilities, including three of the top 10 facilities in the nation. Over the course of the first 100 cases, nView medical achieved FDA clearance of its integrated true-map navigationTM system, making the nView s1 the only integrated imaging and navigation system specifically designed for pediatric surgery.
The nView s1 imaging and navigation system was designed to provide 3D images throughout surgery to help surgeons accurately plan and guide their procedures. The system maintains high-quality control of their surgeries while minimizing patient radiation. One notable capability that exemplifies how low-dose 3D imaging can provide quality control is the added ability to stitch 3D images intraoperatively to provide large bi-plane images akin to long films, now free of projection distortions.
On the achievement, CEO Cristian Atria commented: “Surpassing the 100 surgeries with the nView s1 makes us proud of our past work. More importantly, it fuels the enthusiasm of everyone at nView medical to continue innovating to provide solutions focused on what’s best for patients. We share this achievement with leading surgeons at institutions that are at the forefront of pediatric orthopedic surgery; we couldn’t have achieved this without them.”
