75 orthopedic, spine device company executive moves in 2019 so far

Becker’s Spine Review reported the following orthopedic and spine device company executive moves so far in 2019:

Smith+Nephew CEO Namal Nawana will step down as part of a “mutual decision” to pursue other opportunities, according to a statement from the company. Mr. Nawana will remain on the board until Oct. 31 and provide advice and assistance to his successor, Roland Diggelmann, through the end of the year.

ChoiceSpine promoted KC Gilbert to senior vice president of strategic partnerships and hired two executives: Keith Clements as vice president of sales and Ron Moore as senior director of marketing.

Xtant Medical named Sean Browne president and CEO.

Zimmer Biomet brought Carrie Nichol on board to serve as the company’s vice president, controller and chief accounting officer.

Biotechnology company CuraSen Therapeutics appointed Peter Butera as senior vice president of operations.
