Innovative Medical Devices Startup SurgiBox Receives US Patents for Core Technology

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Feb. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — SurgiBox Inc., a Cambridge, Massachusetts medical device startup that aims to revolutionize mobile surgery with its flagship SurgiField™ product, is pleased to announce it has received two United States Patents for its core technology. The first US patent involves an innovative airflow technology for clean surgery and is a utility patent, while the second US patent is a design patent on its user-friendly single-button automated Smart Control Module™ technology. SurgiBox’s SurgiField™ product combines an innovative inflatable sterile drape with an automated, battery-powered, ultraportable HEPA air filtration system. The system is protected by patents in over 20 countries.
