MEDTECH ANNOUNCES SALE OF TEN NEW ROSA ROBOTS IN FISCAL THIRD QUARTER 2016

Montpellier, France, April 5, 2016 – MEDTECH (Euronext, FR0010892950 – ROSA), a company specialized in designing, developing and marketing innovative surgical assistance robots, has announced the sale of ten new ROSA™ robots during the third fiscal quarter 2016 (January 1 to March 31, 2016).

Seven robots were sold in the United States, two were sold in China and one was sold in France. In comparison, five sales were made during the same period the previous year.

Bertin Nahum, CEO and Founder of Medtech, commented: “This quarter has been particularly active from a commercial viewpoint with ten new sales of our ROSA™ robot. The performance reflects the continued momentum of our development and confirms our growth strategy to drive adoption of the ROSA™ robot across international markets.”

Sales made during the fiscal third quarter in detail:

 

United States:

Mount Sinai Hospital (New York City, New York) acquired two ROSA™ robots for performing minimally invasive brain surgery. This establishment of national and international renown for the treatment of central nervous system disorders is ranked among the fifteen best American hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.

Akron Children’s Hospital (Akron, Ohio), is a pediatric hospital, specializing particularly in the treatment of epilepsy. In 2015, it was ranked among the 30 best American hospitals for children by U.S. News & World Report.

The Yale Comprehensive Epilepsy Center (New Haven, Connecticut) provides promising treatment options for many adult and pediatric patients. Yale is also internationally recognized for its clinical excellence and innovative research.

Miami Valley (Dayton, Ohio) is a well-known medical facility and winner of the Healthgrades® “America’s 100 Best Hospitals’ Award” for 2016. It also received the Healthgrades® Distinguished Hospital Award–Clinical Excellence for three consecutive years, from 2014 to 2016.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston, Massachusetts), is one of America’s most prestigious hospitals and has been recognized as one of the 10 best American hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.

University of Colorado Hospital (Aurora, Colorado), is a renowned institution, particularly for neurology and neurosurgery. In 2015, it was ranked as the best hospital in the state of Colorado by U.S. News & World Report.

 

China:

Two new sales of ROSA™ were made in China, a dynamic market in Asia representing a strong growth opportunity for Medtech. There are now nine ROSA™ robots installed in China.

 

France:

Rouen University Hospital, is a benchmark hospital in the field of neurosurgery, especially for the treatment of epilepsy. It was ranked among the ten best French Hospitals by Le Point magazine for its management of patients with this disorder.
