Medical Devices Can Now Be Tracked with New iPhone Application, “iTraycer”

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and Congress have been focused on providing legislation for a solution to the mounting issues of recall with regards to surgical medical implants. Major Medical device companies are being faced daily with escalating class action law suits, due to the lack of validated tracking controls with tracking of implants on a global basis.

iTraycer’s recent debut at the NASS (North American Spine Society) Meeting in Orlando, Florida offered the keys for control of the issues facing all medical implant companies today globally.

FDA classifies medical device recalls into three categories representing the potential risk to public health: Class I, Class II and Class III. This classification process usually takes place after the company has issued its recall.

iTraycer Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Greg Smith, quoted, “The recent launch at NASS was applauded by the major manufacturers as the total package needed to provide a complete solution to tracking medical implants on a global scale.

Our new generation proprietary patent pending application was demonstrated and acknowledged as the front runner in providing a complete end-to-end solution to the issues surrounding the recall and tracking of surgical medical implants. We have witnessed an ever-growing demand for a solution and have stepped forward to meet this need,” said Smith.

NASS Conference Attendee Kevin Tigrett, Distributor Principal for Steel City Spine, Inc. said, “This is an extremely impressive package, I have been trying to bring all these tools together in one simple format for my sales team, but I’ve not been able to do it efficiently and in a cost effective manor. iTraycer seems to have done it.”
