NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Industry innovator Centinel Spine, Inc., a leader in Integrated Interbody Fusion™ device development, announced the appointments of Bill Pfost and Dan Martin as National VP of Sales and Area VP of Sales respectively, effective immediately.

Centinel Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John J. Viscogliosi, who announced the appointments, said, “The timing could not be better for these industry stalwarts to join Centinel Spine, each of whom brings more than 20 years of experience and contacts to the organization. Although Centinel’s sales growth in 2010 was strong and steady, we are confident that Bill and Dan’s combined experience will be a catalyst for exponential sales growth in 2011 and beyond.”

Mr. Pfost brings 25 years of medical device sales and management experience to his new post. He spent 10 years in both sales and senior sales management at U.S. Surgical and subsequently he was affiliated with Spine Tech/Zimmer Spine as an assistant VP and then President of their Spine Distribution Group. Most recently, Mr. Pfost was Assistant VP and then VP of New Business Development at Lanx.
Mr. Pfost also serves on the Boards of Directors of JSerra Catholic High School and Legatus of San Juan Capistrano, CA and previously served on the board of the Zimmer Spine Distribution Group. He lives with his wife of 23 years and two children in Orange County, CA.

Mr. Martin has spent 15 of his 26 years in medical sales working in the spine sector as a Sales Specialist at Depuy Motech Spine, Regional Sales Director at Surgical Dynamics, VP of Sales at Theken Spine and VP of Regional Development for Signus Medical. He lives in Northeast Ohio with his wife of 16 years and two children and is a board director of his local church.
