Osiris Therapeutics Announces Therésa K. Dixon as General Manager of Market Access and Reimbursement
COLUMBIA, Md.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Osiris Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: OSIR), the leading stem cell company focused on developing and marketing products to treat conditions in wound care, orthopedic and sports medicine markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Therésa K. Dixon, to General Manager, Market Access and Reimbursement, reporting to Lode Debrabandere, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer.

Ms. Dixon has 20 years of market access and reimbursement experience in the life science industry. She served as Vice President of Government Affairs & Health Economics and a member of the senior leadership team at Advanced BioHealing, Inc., (ABH) which was acquired by Shire in 2011. At ABH, she was responsible for the company’s government affairs, health policy and health economics initiatives for all regenerative medicine products, including Dermagraft’s industry-leading position in the reimbursement marketplace. Prior to ABH, she was the National Director of Health Economics for Smith & Nephew, furthering their advanced medical devices in wound management, endoscopy and orthopedics. At Covance Health Economics & Outcomes Services (acquired by Corning, Inc.), Ms. Dixon supported placement of a broad range of novel medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biologics into the U.S. healthcare payer system and marketplace. Ms. Dixon holds an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland, an M.S. in Health Care Management from Marymount University, and a B.A. from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
