Nextremity Solutions, Inc. Sees Success in Initial Cases with Newly Launched Foot Plating System

WARSAW, IND. (PRWEB) JANUARY 12, 2021

Nextremity Solutions, Inc., a Strategic Commercialization Organization (SCO) with a focus on the extremity musculoskeletal space, located in “The Orthopedic Capital of the World,” Warsaw, Ind., recently completed the first several cases using their newly launched Stratum® RS (Reduced Size) Foot Plating System.

The Stratum RS System builds on the success of the Stratum Foot Plating System that launched in 2019. The system includes 18 different plates that are designed to fit various anatomies in smaller patients. This includes Single Lisfranc, Peanut, Straight, Hockey Stick, L-shaped, Y-shaped, and T-shaped plates.

Travis Motley, DPM of Fort Worth, TX stated, “The RS plate size easily fits on the lesser metatarsals without extended dissection. The smaller screws definitely are a better fit for the lesser metatarsals. The low-profile design of the plates will also benefit my patients by preventing irritation of the long extensors due to hardware prominence. It’s definitely an easy system to use. Ease of use provides me the opportunity to reduce time in the Operating Room. Overall, I really like this system and plan to use it often.”

An Le, DPM of Joliet, IL added, “I utilized the Stratum RS foot plating system to fixate a comminuted spiral oblique fracture of the second metatarsal. I was very impressed with the plate’s low profile and malleability. I am very interested in using its built-in compression component for future cases.”

This expansion of the Stratum brand results in close to 70 options to treat deformities and fractures in the human foot. The system also includes a single-use disposable instrument kit which eliminates the need for sterilization by hospitals, as well as providing surgeons with brand new instrumentation at every case.

The Nextremity Solutions Stratum RS Foot Plating System is intended for stabilization and fixation of small bone fragments in fresh fractures, revision procedures, joint fusion and reconstruction of small bones of the foot and ankle, particularly in osteopenic bone.
