Innovasis Enrolls 3,000th Patient in Their BioBase™ Data Registry

Salt Lake City, UT – June 30, 2023 / OrthoSpineNews/ – Innovasis, the leading provider of Bioactive spinal implants, announced today that they have enrolled the 3,000th patient in their BioBase™ Data Registry. The registry is designed to collect patient-reported outcomes and surgical data for individuals who have received Bioactive spinal implants from Innovasis both HA PEEK, HAtetracell™ and their first to market HAcancellous™ HA PEEK.

The BioBase™ Data Registry is a valuable tool for participating surgeons to track patient outcomes and fusion rates for up to 24 months. The registry collects data including patient demographics, Satisfaction Scores, VAS, QoL and Fusion Rates. The long-term objective of the BioBase Registry is to provide surgeons with comprehensive data to facilitate quality control and best clinical practices through structured benchmark analytics.

Innovasis’ product development team also leverages BioBase data to develop innovative products that better meet the needs of patients and improve the quality of care based on real-world outcome data.

“We are thrilled to have reached this important milestone in our BioBase™ Data Registry,” said Innovasis VP of Business Development, David Oka. “The data we collect through the registry allows us to better understand how our implants are performing and how we can improve patient outcomes. We are committed to investing in research and development to continuously improve the care we provide to our surgeons and their patients.”

In addition to improving patient care, the BioBase™ Data Registry is also a valuable tool for healthcare providers. The data collected through the registry can be used to demonstrate the effectiveness of Innovasis’ implants to insurance providers and regulators.  Participating sites such as HSS, Georgetown and UCSF have presented abstracts at spine conferences nationwide and publication on Innovasis’ Bioactive materials is expected later this year.

To learn more about the registry and its outcomes, Dr. Kris Radcliff will be speaking on “The importance of Bioactive implants and Data” at the annual STEGO meeting.
