Commencing 2024 with Robust Growth through the Launch of Novel Foot and Ankle Products

PARSIPPANY, N.J., February 27, 2024 – OrthoSpineNews – Extremity Medical, LLC, a global medical device company with expertise in the development of innovative implants for upper and lower extremities, kicks off the first quarter of 2024 with the commercialization of several foot and ankle products, starting with OMNI Mini Plating System, OMNI Lapidus Plating System, and OssiGraftTM Viable Bone Matrix.

Extremity Medical changes the way surgeons look at challenging extremity cases by pioneering novel fixation and fusion implants, motion preservation systems, and biologics to address the needs of surgeons treating the foot, ankle, hand, and wrist. Extremity Medical is excited to introduce a groundbreaking plating feature, SlotLockTM – a novel locking compression slot that affords the surgeon increased sustainability and greater peak compression.

SlotLock is a key feature of the OMNI Mini Plating System, along with a variety of indication-specific and utility plates. The system is intended for use in internal fixation of arthrodeses, osteotomies, fractures, and non-unions of the small bones of the foot & ankle, and it further diversifies Extremity Medical’s product offerings to the forefoot.  The OMNI Mini Plating System is now commercially available.

Extremity Medical’s OMNI Lapidus Plating System is also launching this month, and is intended to complement the Freedom Lapidus Joint Preparation and Alignment System, completing the “Lapidus Solutions” profile. The Lapidus Plates also feature SlotLock to lock the screws into the plate, while providing sustained compression. The plate designs are engineered to anatomically contour the joint.

Also this month, Extremity Medical entered into a collaborative agreement with Ossium Health to distribute OssiGraftTM, a bone matrix allograft intended for the repair of musculoskeletal defects. Ossium brings rigorous organ donor standards and advanced tissue processing to the viable bone matrix. Extremity Medical has completed cases with OssigraftTM, which is now available to surgeons around the country.

“Extremity Medical is passionate about bringing innovative products to the market to address the most challenging foot and ankle cases, and I am confident that these new products will make a significant impact to the foot and ankle community” said Matthew Lyons, CEO of Extremity Medical.

The addition of these three exciting new products contributes to Extremity Medical’s innovative product portfolio to address foot and ankle deformities. To learn more about Extremity Medical products, please visit www.ExtremityMedical.com or email customerservice@extremitymedical.com
