ArthroCare Total Revenue Increases by 10.6% to $87.9M
ArthroCare reported total revenue for the third quarter of 2010 at $87.9 million, a 10.6 percent increase from the third quarter of 2009, according to a company news release.
The company’s success can be attributed to a decrease in sales and marketing expenses as a result of lower product demonstration costs. The company also experienced a decrease in bad debt allowance requirements due to an improved accounts receivable performance. A decline in American sales was off-set by increased international product sales.
The product sales in ArthroCare’s sports medicine division were reported as $6.4 million, a 12.6 percent increase from the third quarter of 2009. Sales of spine products declined during the third quarter of 2010.
