Pioneer Surgical Technology Announces Full Market Release of the Streamline TL Spinal Fixation System
MARQUETTE, Mich., March 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Pioneer Surgical is pleased to announce the full market release of the Streamline® TL Spinal Fixation System. Streamline TL (Thoracolumbar) is designed to provide stability during spinal fusion procedures and is approved as a pedicle screw system from T1-S2.
After receiving FDA clearance on August 11, 2010, Streamline TL rapidly moved from the clinical evaluation phase into full market availability. The system offers a broad range of implants and instruments, providing physicians the ability to tailor treatment to a specific patient for a more efficient implant experience. The Streamline TL system features a friction fit head that provides greater control during implantation, a robust reduction capability and a consistent locking mechanism.
“Streamline TL increases efficiency during the procedure by making instruments fast and easy-to-use,” said Dr. Robert Watkins, IV an orthopedic surgeon from Marina Del Rey, California. Streamline TL promises to be a flagship degenerative spine product for Pioneer Surgical that is positioned for tremendous growth potential in 2011. “Streamline TL is one of the most significant product introductions to Pioneer Surgical’s portfolio in recent history,” said Jay Jones, Vice President of Research and Development in the Pioneer Surgical Spine Division. Streamline TL continues to build upon Pioneer Surgical’s commitment to producing premium solutions for surgeons and their patients.
