ChoiceSpine announces hire of new executives

ChoiceSpine recently announced the hiring of two new executives, according to a company press release.

Tom McLeer, senior executive vice-president, will serve as an advisor to founders Rick Henson and Marty Altshuler, assisting with strategic planning and business development. Additionally, Steve Ainsworth, PhD,has been hired as vice president of research and development, the release stated.

McLeer was most recently senior vice president of U.S. Commercial Operations for Alphatec, with responsibility for U.S. sales and marketing, research and development, and biologics. Ainsworth was the third employee for TranS1, where he served as vice president of research and development throughout the Baxano acquisition.

Earlier this month, ChoiceSpine announced the purchase of Baxano’s VEO Lateral Access and Interbody System, according to the release.
