OrthoGrid Systems Inc. recently announced the launch of the HipGrid Drone, an intraoperative radiographic alignment solution to be used for both anterior and posterior approaches to total hip replacement.
“This is not simply a new product,” Edouard Saget, co-founder of OrthoGrid Systems Inc., stated in a company release. “It is the transformation into a complete system of what our surgeons are already calling an elegant and simple solution.”
The HipGrid Drone is a reusable device designed to make surgery easier and simpler for teams to replicate. According to the release, the HipGrid Drone works with standard C-arms available in most ORs and surgeons can use either the HipGrid TearDrop Target or TearDrop Vector techniques to cater to surgical preference and fluoroscope type.
