iRISE Spine and Joint Announces the Addition of Michael C. Weiss, D.O., FAOAO

Veteran surgeon joining iRISE as the organization’s Chief of Surgery and Chief Medical Officer

BOCA RATON, Fla. April 14, 2021 – iRISE Spine and Joint, a Joint Commission accredited provider of effective surgical and nonsurgical treatments for injuries and conditions of the spine and joints, announced today the addition of Michael C. Weiss, D.O., FAOAO.

With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Weiss will serve as the iRISE Chief of Surgery and Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Weiss will carry a regular surgical case load, focusing on the latest techniques in minimally invasive spine surgery. In addition, he will help to advance iRISE processes and procedures in the clinic, operating room and oversee the team of more than 10 physicians.

Previously, Dr. Weiss played an instrumental part in the development of Laser Spine Institute, where he served as Chairman, Department of Surgery, managing the organization’s surgical operations and training for more than a decade. 

Dr. Weiss and the surgical team at iRISE are equipped to perform a wide variety of specialty procedures, including laminotomy/foraminotomy/discectomy, lateral and oblique lateral lumbar interbody fusion, transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion, endoscopic decompression/discectomy/fusion, anterior and posterior cervical fusion, artificial cervical disc replacement, revision and deformity surgery, and regenerative techniques.
