Tsunami Medical Announces the Launch of Procida, 3D Printed PLIF Titanium Cage with Expansion Feature

Tsunami Medical, among the leaders in Spine technology innovation, focusing on additive manufactured solutions for spine surgery and diagnostic invasive procedures, today announces the launch Procida, 3D printed PLIF cage.

Years of cautious research and dedication by Tsunami Medical’s team have culminated with the achievement of a Second Generation of Spinal Fusion solutions. Procida evolves from the clinically proven First Generation PLIF cage.

“This new solution meets with the standards of successfully proven Bone InGrowth Technology®”, said Stefano Caselli, CEO of the company. “Procida has a unique multi[1]direction extension mechanism, which allows cranial-caudal height extension in combination with amendment to the required lordosis angle by individual extension in anterior and posterior direction.”

Peter Witke, CCO of the company: “Solutions with expansion feature show excellent stability characteristics and the cages are printed in one step. Extension of height plus the amendment to lordosis angle, are performed with the same introduction instrument.”
