Charles Kuntz IV, MD, a neurosurgeon at the Mayfield Clinic and the University of Cincinnati and current treasurer of the AANS/CNS Joint Spine Section, passed away at the age of 50 on Feb. 26, 2015, according to an obituary published by the clinic.
Kuntz served the community of Cincinnati for the past 15 years. He has been honored with a listing in the national database of Best Doctors in America since 2005 and has appeared in Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors listing since 2011. He has also appeared in Cincinnati Magazine’s regionally developed list of top doctors since 2007, according to the obituary.
Kuntz was a member of the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Forty under 40 class of 2005. He was also a finalist at the Courier’s Health Care Heroes awards in the innovator category in 2009.
